Peace Building Through Health in the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict Norbert Goldfield, M.D. Founder and Executive Director

Healing Across the Divides is based on a simple idea: All human beings desire better health.

Today in Israel and Palestine, there are:
Palestinians living in the West Bank near Hebron with post-traumatic stress disorder living under constant fear of attack by settlers.

Ethiopian Jews who had no diabetes at all before arriving in Israel and now 10% have diabetes and are living in Israel with challenges to accessing appropriate care.

Healing Across the Divides is committed to improving the health of these marginalized Israelis and all Palestinians via community-based interventions. We bring the groups together, when desired, to exchange ideas and if possible, to work together. The way we seek to improve health represents a pathway to peace building.

HATD is the only not-for-profit that provides funding and technical advice on health to both Israeli and Palestinian communities; and the only one that fosters cooperation between the community groups - a critical difference in these challenging times.
